Kim Robinson: Singer/Songwriter/Actress/Musician

On this site, you'll find background information about me, my education and my experience, photographs, and any news in "What's New".

Main Interests

I am a singer in the main, but I am also involved in acting and dancing. I play the piano and flute, and a little guitar, bass, and drums.

I am currently involved many musical societies, including a new thread from the choral society V.I.P, called The Theatre Choral Society (TCS), which gives regular concerts in Telford. I am also a member of the Musical Theatre Academy (MTA) which performs a musical every term. Currently under rehearsal is the Tietjens/Sloane/Baum musical The Wizard of Oz, to be performed in December. Another society I am involved in is the Dorrington Players, a drama association. In the Players we put on regular plays. The next to be given is the Dennis Driscoll play The Peacocks Must Go.

Singing/Songwriting

Singing has always been my first love. This was mainly to do with the fact that it was the only thing which I was better than almost everyone else at! I am currently working towards my grade 8 singing exam, which I hope to take around Easter. As previously mentioned, I am involved in many things to do with singing. Others not mentioned include the college choir and a production of the musical A Little Shop of Horrors.

On the composing front, I have been writing songs ever since I could pick out a tune on the piano as I have always wanted to write my own songs. Currently I am composing quite a few pieces, the main ones being part of a musical, as yet un-named.

Acting

I have never been estatic about acting; however I do love it, and am currently involved in many things which include it. I am also studying it at A-level, after achieving an A grade in A.S.

Recent things I have been involved in include The Day After The Fair (Anna), Electra (chorus), The Winslow Boy (Mrs Barnes), and Terra Nova (Doris).
